BOOK YOUR CLIMB
As part of the new COVID-19 restrictions, we have to manage a 60 person capacity limit. To best manage this we are splitting the day at North Walls into two sessions.
Book into the session of your choice and show up to climb any time between that session’s start and finish time. E.g. If your sessions is the 6:30am to 5:00pm time slot, you can show up at 2:47pm and stay anytime till 5:00pm, or 7:01am till 12:34pm. Anytime between 6:30am to 5:00pm.
Booking your session insures you a spot for if and when we hit capacity. We will most commonly see this for people that climb after work and on the weekend. So please plan and book according.
We are only permitting returning climbers (sorry new climbers! We will open it up to you as soon as possible). We will need all returning customers to sign a special Covid-19 version of the waiver you can fill out here before your session.
As you have probably guessed, things are going to be a little different in the gym so let’s go through the new guidelines...
This goes without saying now, but if you’re showing any symptoms, had any contact with a confirmed case or come back from overseas in the last 14 days; please self-isolate and seek medical advice.
We have a 60 person capacity limit, so we’ve created 2 sessions throughout each day, dayime sessions and an evening sessions weekdays. Morning sessions & afternoon sessions on weekends. Each reservation is for one person so make sure you're climbing partner also makes a reservation with their own login/account.
Reservations are made online. Each reservation is for one person only now! Please make sure your climbing partner has also made their own reservation.
If you can’t make your session you can cancel through the online booking system up to the session start time and use that entry for another session. Cancellation after the session start will count as a late cancellation; and your session pass will be used and not refundable or redeemable for any other sessions.
Bring your own gear where possible. Rental gear is available, but will be very limited due to quarantining/cleaning items between uses.
Liquid chalk is to be used at the start of your climb. You can take a chalk bag with a chalk ball (no loose chalk) to chalk up while you climb.
Mask are to be worn at all times; but you can take it off while climbing if you need.
During your session, please stick with the same person when climbing/belaying.
Bring your own water bottle.
Wash or sanitise your hands before and after each climb.
Wipe down fitness equipment before/after use.
Maintain social distancing (2m) with others.
Do not climb on a route if there is a climber on an adjacent route. Make sure you are separated by at least one route apart from any other climbers on the wall.
It’s super important that you are ready to leave the gym by the end time of your booking. This is to ensure we can clean the space before the next group enters.
We have implemented a bunch of processes as part of the new Covid normal; however please keep in mind that risk of transmission cannot be completely ruled out. If there is an incident that you maybe affected by; we are required to share your contact information with the health department to assist with contact tracing efforts.
